IABSE France: The CAQUOT Prize and AFGC Prize 2019
During the General Assembly of the French Association of Civil Engineering (AFGC) representing the French Group of IABSE, held in Paris on the 4th of February 2020, two Prizes have been awarded to two members of IABSE: Ian Firth and André Orcési. Download the report.

March 13-14 - Young Engineers Colloquium (YEC2020)

Abstract submission by February 14, 2020!
IABSE's three National Groups are looking forward to receiving interesting project descriptions from young engineers under 35 years of age (born 1984 or later). Please submit/inform young engineers to submit a two-page paper in English by 14 February 2020 to YEC2020@iabse.be.

On the 20th and 21st of March 2019, the French Association of Civil engineering (AFGC) organized their biennial technical days “GC’2019” at the ESTP School of engineering in Cachan, near Paris, based on the theme: “Civil Engineering at the Heart of Technological and Digital Mutations”. AFGC (Association Française de Génie Civil) representing the French Group of IABSE and the Association Le Pont are organising for the 23rd time the Colloquium 'Le Pont' on October 3-4, 2018, in Toulouse, France. More..
AFGC organised a week-long study journey for about sixty of its members to visit the construction site of the ‘Nouvelle Route du Littoral’ in La Reunion Island. The region has decided to shift the current road between St-Denis and La Possession by building a new road on the sea to prevent the stone blocks that are regularly detaching from the big cliffs, from falling down on the road.
October 2-4 - UHPFRC 2017 is the third symposium that was organised in France on ‘Designing and Building with UHPFRC ‘ by AFGC, representing the French Group of IABSE, with co-sponsorship of RILEM, fib and ACI.
