A Special Session may comprise 5 or 6 short presentations on a common topic within the scope of the overall Symposium Theme, a round table discussion with perhaps 3 or 4 presenters and a convenor or moderator to lead the discussion, or a hands-on workshop led by someone able to motivate delegates to roll up their sleeves and do some work! The idea should be to maximise the involvement of the delegates attending the session to make it distinctly different from the conventional lecture format. |
