Project Description:

The stadium adopts a large-opening spoke-type cable-supported grid structure to achieve a 54.1m cantilever; combined with the architectural function and shape, a giant truss structure is used to achieve an 82m-span arc-shaped aerial corridor. Ultimately, a reasonable structure achieves architectural beauty.


Judges Comments

This stadium roof is a cable-supported grid structure system adapted to meet the architectural requirements which includes very large opening on two sides. The maximum overhang length reaches 54m, and the upper chord of the grid structure is a rigid single-layer grid, with the lower chord being a spoke-type tension cable-bar system. Large span steel trusses frame the 82m long openings, with the added complexity of having to match the curved plan profile.
